(Don't tell me to move on from what God chose to use)

Don't expect me to just let it go
Like it was nothing, like it didn't shape my soul
Some pain doesn't pass through quick
It gets written where the marrow lies

You call it a season, call it a test
But He placed His heart into my chest
This wasn't trauma left untreated
This was sorrow consecrated

Oh, you say time heals everything
But God heals deeper than relief
Some wounds don't just close
They teach you how to breathe

Don't expect me to move on
From what God engraved in my bones
He took the weight of His own sorrow
And made it part of my heart
This wasn't bitterness I learned to keep
It was wisdom brought out of the flame
If I carry sorrow in my body now
It's because Heaven marked me with its pain

They say forgiveness looks like silence
Looks like smiling through the loss
But Jesus still bears the scars
Even after He rose
So I won't rush the healing
Or bury what made me whole
Some things God doesn't erase
He integrates into the soul

You call it holding on too long
I call it honoring the truth
If God remembers suffering
Why should I pretend He didn't move?

Don't expect me to move on

I'm standing on what He produced
Some of you heal by forgetting
Swept the truth under rugs
Calling avoidance peace
While wounds learn silence
I heal by remembering with God
That's the difference between wounds that chain you
And wounds that commission you

So don't ask me to let it go
God used it to bring me low
Into sharing His sorrows
I speak from a healed scar
If sorrow taught me how to love deeper
How to carry weight without shame
Then what you call not moving on
Is just me walking forward unashamed
And not the same

There is a kind of suffering
That doesn't destroy you
It completes something
It serves something beyond you

Some pain fills what was missing
For the sake of His body
