Here in my memory, we’re still so young

Last time I saw you, so strung out and white
High off the pills you were taking each night
I didn’t know but could see in your eyes
The hatred and pain you were feeling inside

If memory serves, we were 16 years old
Just as naive as the stories we told
We shared CDs, clothing, and poetry
Now that I’m older, they're special to me and you
