Biografía de The Wombats
El nombre lo han tomado de un marsupial australiano. Son The Wombats, un trio de pop de guitarras formado en Liverpool por tres estudiantes de la LIPA, la escuela de arte fundada por Paul McCartney en su ciudad natal. Los miembros de la formación son Matthew Murphy (voz y guitarra), Dan Haggis (voz y batería) y el noruego Tord Overland-Knudsen (bajo y voz).
Let's Dance to Joy Division fue el primer éxito de su álbum debut Proudly Present....A Guide To Love, Loss & Desperation (Noviembre 07) seguido por Moving To New York y Backfire At The Disco, este último producido por Jimmy Robertson (Klaxons).
