A sacred rite
From which I rise

As the suns rays die
And my wings no longer fly
Desperate I flail in the nothingness
Held down, anxious, with no breath
Consciousness fades away
All light disappearing as day shall never break

The opportunity has come and gone
Feelings of bliss see no dawn
Forthcoming displeasures so great
Here, I meet my fate

The turning season
To return
The dark is waiting
