Hmakanyi, le matin est là
de Paul Wamo
I grew up in São Paulo, workin' on cattle ranches
Where the Sun rises and sets, and life is simple and honest
But I always dreamed of ridin' bulls, in rodeos and competitions
And it was in Barretos, at the rodeo in the park of the cowboy that I found my passion
And I felt my heart racin' fast, when I climbed on the bull for the first time
I knew right then and there, I wanted to be a cowboy for real
I'm the Brazilian cowboy, with my hat and leather boots
I ride horses and ride bulls with pride, with my heart in my chest
I'm a warrior of the arena, with skill and courage
I left Brazil, to conquer the world
And now I'm famous, in the United States, I'm the king of the rodeo
I came to Texas, to learn from the best
And soon I was competin', in the most famous rodeos
I participated in the Cheyenne Frontier Days, the Houston Livestock Show
And the San Antonio Stock Show, where I showed off my skills
I gained fame and fortune, with my talent and skill
And now I'm a cowboy, respected all over the country
I'm the Brazilian cowboy, with my hat and leather boots
I ride horses and ride bulls with pride, with my heart in my chest
I'm a warrior of the arena, with skill and courage
I left Brazil, to conquer the world
And now I'm famous, in the United States, I'm the king of the rodeo
But I never forgot, where I came from
From my family, my friends, my beloved Brazil
I always carry with me, the culture and tradition
Of my country, that made me the cowboy I am today
And I'm grateful for everything, I learned in Brazil
And that helped me conquer, my place in the world
I'm the Brazilian cowboy, with my hat and leather boots
I ride horses and ride bulls with pride, with my heart in my chest
I'm a warrior of the arena, with skill and courage
I left Brazil, to conquer the world
And now I'm famous, in the United States, I'm the king of the rodeo
