Everything I write just comes out wrong

But when I try to write it comes out wrong

When I think about the old days
Think about oh how the times fly
If we were back in high school
I wonder who and what we would recognize
The same street corners, the same street signs
And though we can't go back in time
It will always be the same in my mind

How do you know if you left the best behind you?
You can't see in rewind
You need a different point of view
