But I'd help you with the words you didn't know

I never thought I'd learn so much from you

But I guess a part of me just thought it'd always be the other way around

The year that you were turning 7, I was 9

When we drew pictures of the places that we'd visit in our dreams
Turned in to stories
Then to poems
When you were 12, and I, 14
The year I realised I wasn't always right

I always thought that I knew more
And that was just the way it worked
