de Greater Magadha
Verse 1
Lazarus opened up his eyes. Breathed a brand new breath
Four days ago, he'd died. For four days now he'd slept
But he'd just heard a voice…
Piercing through the dark, calling out his name
Saying, "Lazarus, Come Forth!", rendering powerless the grave
It was a voice he could not resist
(Chorus:)
When He calls me I must go
Through the door of worlds unknown
This flesh will rise and go to where He is!
My tattered grave clothes down will fall
At His feet I'll stand in awe
His was the Voice, I could not resist
Verse 2
Soon I'll lay me down. Return this house of clay
Deep within the ground, but that's not where I'll stay
For I will hear a voice…
Piercing through the dark, calling out my name
Saying, "Child, Come Forth!", rendering powerless the grave
'Twill be the voice I cannot resist
(Bridge:)
My heart has heard Him speak a million times or more
So when He calls for me, I will know His voice!
