Knocking down your door, it seems I couldn't even get arrested
though I tried & tried - my best - well I was getting bested
everybody had some kind of interest that was vested

everybody smiled - a pat on the head & oh what a nice boy
never took us seriously - they were playing with their other toys
but now I find I'm in demand & you'll find I've developed quite a voice
