Biografía de Dirgo
Diego García Peñalba, who simply goes by Dirgo, is a Costa Rican-American multifaceted singer-songwriter, producer and artist talented in both music and visual arts. Born into a multicultural household, son to a Cuban father and a Nicaraguan mother; was raised surrounded by the influence of his family's music tastes. From Cuban jazz, salsa, 80s pop and 70s disco, on his parents side; to the 2000s alternative soft rock/pop scene, and 2010s EDM influence by his older sister.
Though he accumulated many musical inspirations over the years, it was his deep love for artists like Lorde, Adele and Lana Del Rey that inspired him to try making music of his own. It was the latter that pushed him to try to experience the art of songwriting through a cinematic storytelling lens, and opened his eyes to profound emotions and the magic of wearing your vulnerability on your sleeve, as dark or complicated as it could be perceived.
