I know how it feels to be abandoned on the street
That sinking feeling being stranded in the deep
We've reached rock bottom hit little, but cold concrete
We'll roam around this stone savannah, anxious souls can't sleep
Nevertheless, I'm living life like a lioness
Lying in hiding 'till the time is right, you might read it as idleness
This isn't nihilistic violence
It's kill or die, no pillow fights though feather's fly, there's no denying this

Stray little kitty wandering on the street
This place isn't pretty, but it belongs to me
I stay busy, constantly watching
I see so many things nobody wants to see
Looking at life
Through the cat's eyes

I know how it feels to be abandoned on the street
Any time I fall, though I'll be landing on my feet
Dancing on the beat, I never miss a step
And when I hiss, it isn't disrespect, it just means I'm a bit suspect
Come at existence like a scientist
I try and fit the different pieces, interweave them 'till I finally find a fix
But don't confuse my cold, aloof quite attitude for shyness
This happens, if you live a life categorized as high risk

Hanging on for dear life is standard for me
I see in the dark through neon and sparks
And what you say's decay, I call surrealist art
A real fine line between a feline and a fearless heart, I feel it start
Scratch the veneer, reveal the stuff concealed inside
I claimed these streets and made them mine, but they could take me any time
From day to night, a dangerous life, but I ain't the type to stay inside
