Cradle Of Filth es una agrupación musical británica. Se conformó en 1991 en Suffolk, Inglaterra. Se ha visto envuelta en controversias, al ser vista como una banda satánica, aunque en opinión de la crítica especializada sus referencias al satanismo son distantes. Inicios de Cradle Of Filth en la Música Cradle Of Filth nació por iniciativa del cantante de rock Daniel Lloyd Davey, de formar una banda musical. Se puso en contacto con músicos como el bajista John Richard, el guitarrista Paul Ryan, el baterista Darren White y el teclista Benjamin Ryan, para comenzar a grabar material discográfico. Género musical Cradle Of Filth recurre principalmente al black metal. Sin embargo, su estilo musical es variado debido al uso del metal extremo, black metal sinfónico y otros subgéneros estilos de heavy metal. Recibió influencia de la banda de rock Iron Maiden. Trayectoria y Legado En 1992, Cradle Of Filth publicó cuatro canciones: "A Pungent And Sexual Miasma", "Invoking The Unclean", "Orgiastic Pleasures Foul" y "The Black Goddess Rises". En ese año se encontraba grabando el que sería su primer álbum de estudio, que no fue publicado porque el sello discográfico al que pertenecía se declaró en quiebra. Al poco tiempo, Cradle Of Filth lanzó otro tema con el nombre de "Total Fucking Darkness". Después de firmar con la discográfica Cacophonus Records, comenzó a grabar su primer disco, que fue publicado en 1994 con el título de "The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh", obteniendo buena aceptación del público. En 1995, Cradle Of Filth comenzó un proceso judicial en contra de Cacophonus Records, acusándolos de mala gestión financiera. Firmó con Music For Nations en 1996, después de lanzar su última grabación con la anterior casa disquera, el EP "Vempire Or Dark Faerytales In Phallustein". Su segundo álbum "Dusk... And Her Embrace", fue bien recibido por la crítica y le sumó seguidores, estuvo basado en la temática del vampirismo. El tercer disco fue publicado en 1998 con el nombre de "Cruelty And The Beast"; su cantante y líder, Daniel Lloyd Davey, indicó en una entrevista que se sentía orgulloso del álbum, pero también mostró su insatisfacción en cuanto al sonido. En el año 2000, Cradle Of Filth lanzó su cuarto álbum de estudio, "Hallowe'en", que se basó en la novela de terror Cabal, del escritor y director del cine inglés Clive Barker. El siguiente álbum fue "Live Bait For The Dead", lanzado en 2001. El quinto disco, "Damnation And A Day", salió en 2003, contó con el respaldo de la Budapest Film Orchestra And Choir de Reino Unido, compuesta por ochenta músicos, logrando el sonido metal sinfónico que Cradle Of Filth buscaba reflejar en sus interpretaciones. El disco "Nymphetamine", el sexto lanzado por Cradle Of Filth, se estrenó en 2004, contó con una versión del tema "Devil Woman", del cantante británico Cliff Richard; obtuvo una nominación a un Grammy. Su siguiente trabajo discográfico fue "Thornography", lanzado en 2006, obtuvo en general críticas positivas. Para 2008, Cradle Of Filth realizó una gira mundial de conciertos, presentándose en Rusia, Ucrania, Inglaterra, Rumania, Eslovaquia y América del Norte. En octubre de ese año, presentó su octavo disco, "Godspeed On The Devil's Thunder", basado en la historia de Gilles de Rais, un siniestro personaje del siglo XV, que fue juzgado y ejecutado, entre otros motivos, por abuso sexual y asesinato de varios niños y adolescentes. Otros discos presentados de Cradle Of Filth, a lo largo de su trayectoria musical, son "Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa", en 2010; "The Manticore And Other Horrors", en 2012; "Hammer Of The Witches", en 2015; "Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness Of Decay", en 2017; y "Lustmord And Wargasm", en 2019. En mayo de 2021, Cradle Of Filth ofreció un concierto en línea y en vivo, titulado Live Stream Concert, que fue anunciado por sus redes sociales. Integrantes Cradle Of Filth está integrada por Dani Filth, Martin 'Marthus' Škaroupka, Daniel Firth, Lindsay Schoolcraft, Richard Shaw y Marek 'Ashok' Šmerda. Cradle Of Filth surgió con una propuesta innovadora en la escena musical del black metal, también en sus interpretaciones de otros géneros musicales derivados del rock pesado. Durante sus trayectoria musical de tres décadas, ha desarrollado un estilo propio, plasmado en el sonido particular de cada uno de sus álbumes y sencillos. Los títulos de sus composiciones, que versan sobre temas que pudieran interpretarse como esotéricos, le han dado fama de banda satánica, no obstante, los conocedores afirman que aluden al lado oscuro de lo humano.
