I hear they're hiring men in Oklahoma
And I've been blessed with two hard working hands
I'll take that job till the mill goes back to working
And we'll make it through the hard times again
Like the preacher said in church last Sunday morning
Oh the Lord does things we may not understand
We both know that he'll take care of his children
If we live every day the best we can
