Biografía de Amjad Ali Khan
Khan nació en Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh en 1945, es la sexta generación sarod jugador en su familia y sus antepasados han desarrollado y han formado el instrumento más de varios cientos de años. Sus antepasados vinieron de Afganistán a la atmósfera de música relajada de India y trajeron el Rabab que más tarde se desarrolló en Sarod. Sarod moderno se ha sometido a modificaciones para mejorar su calidad tonal, notablemente de Ustad Allauddin Khan y su hermano Ustad Ayet Ali Khan de Senia Maihar Gharana.
